Our client, a 7 year-old passenger, was in her father's vehicle when it was struck by a vehicle headed in the opposite direction driven by a teenager. The teenage driver and her two teenage passengers were killed as a result of the collision. Our client received a skull fracture, traumatic brain injury and other internal injuries. She was hospitalized for a month.

Our client was driving her children home from daycare and school on a clear summer afternoon. A distracted driver failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the client's vehicle in a broadside collision. The collision was of such severity that the client's full size SUV rolled and turned onto its roof. Thankfully, the children were not injured in this tragic collision. Unfortunately, their mother sustained a significant brain injury and was hospitalized for several weeks. Through great care and medical treatment, the client was able to make nearly a full recovery.

Our client was involved in a devastating automobile collision. Another driver crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, directly in front of our client's vehicle. Our client had no time to react and the two vehicles collided. The force of the impact also pushed our client's vehicle into the guardrail on the right hand side. The damage to our client's Ford Escape was horrific. He was struck in the driver's side door, directly where he was seated. He was pinned in his vehicle and had to be extracted by the fire department. Due to the severity of his injuries, the highway was closed and our client was airlifted from the scene.

Our client was driving on a sunny, summer day and has she entered a rural intersection, another vehicle hit the front, passenger side. The other vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection. Our client's vehicle veered off the road and rolled onto the passenger side.

Our client suffered many serious injuries when a friend accidently backed up and ran over her while trying to pull away from a snowbank in St. Paul. She was taken to Regions Hospital for treatment and had several surgeries. She then spent 20 days in a care center until she was able to get around on her own and return home.

Cory Whalen represented a Minnesota State Patrolman injured while on duty. He was responding to an emergency call and struck a horse that was running loose in the roadway. The officer was knocked unconscious and his cruiser was demolished.  He sustained severe facial and head injuries and found his life and his career turned upside-down for a long time as he struggled to heal. 

Our client was in his backyard watering plants for the winter. As he was standing there, the neighbor's pit bull broke free from his harness, ran into our client’s yard, and jumped up and bit his arm. A fire poker was needed to pry the dog’s mouth off his arm. The injury resulted in significant muscle damage that impacted the use of the right hand. There was also a substantial scar from the attack. The case settled for the $300,000 policy limits.

Our client, 46 years old man, was seriously injured when he was thrown out of a 16' fishing boat being driven by his friend while they were on a fishing trip in Canada. Our client was then run over by the propeller and suffered serious injuries and scarring to his head, face, mouth, shoulder and hand. 

An Ely woman was awarded more than $281,000 in damages by a Virginia, Minnesota  jury in her civil suit against a local pharmacy. Jurors ruled in favor of our client in a malpractice suit filed against Martinetto Drug, Inc. The three-day trial in Sixth District Court stemmed from an incident when a pharmacist who owned and operated the pharmacy mistakenly gave a prescription for the drug Glyburide to our client when she should have received another medication. As a result, our client's blood sugar was lowered and she suffered a non-fatal heart attack.

Our client was driving his motorcycle with the right of way when the defendant pulled out from a stop sign in front of him, causing the accident. His right leg was fractured in the crash, requiring surgery and skin grafting.
