One January afternoon our clients, Lee and Fran, were approaching Crosby, Minnesota when another vehicle traveling at highway speed crossed the center line and hit them head-on. After the initial impact, our clients' vehicle went off the road and crashed into a tree.

Both were taken to the local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. lee suffered significant injury to his foot and ankle as well as head injuries. he has survived five foot and ankle surgeries, including a partial ankle fusion. These injuries ended his career as a jumbo jet flight inspector. This 58-year-old man is no longer able to move around to inspect the planes and had to give up that career.

Fran also sustained serious injuries; she suffered a concussion, still has persistent neck pain and other serious head injuries.  Attorney Jeffrey Sieben represented the couple for their injuries. He worked closely with an expert orthopedic surgeon to illustrate the complexity of Lee's lower leg injuries. Days of consulting vocational rehabilitative experts along with the orthopedic surgeon helped Sieben present the employment options available to our client for the rest of his life. This collaboration enabled Mr. Sieben to resolve the claims eight weeks prior to the jury trial and settle their cases for $1.4 million.
