Construction worker injured when falls from scaffolding
Our client was hired to work as a subcontractor on a garage project. While working on scaffolding, the subcontractors, including our client, were positioning sheathing on the first level of the roof. While working 12-15 feet off the ground, the scaffold pulled free from the wall causing our client to fall to the ground, landing on his feet. As a result of the fall, our client fractured both heels, had screws and plates placed in his right heel, fractured both ankles and fractured two bones in his lower right leg.
Jim Carey and Cory Whalen sued both the construction company and the builder. They fought and obtained $180,000 to compensate our client for his injuries.
