Drunk Driver Causes Halloween Nightmare
Our client attended a Halloween party at her friend's house. She was standing next to her car when she was hit by a drunk driver. She was pinned between her car and the car that hit her and was seriously injured. As a result of injuries to her leg, her leg was amputated.
The drunk driver was under the legal drinking age of 21 years and served alcohol by the host of the party. Through sworn testimony, it was established that the cause of her intoxication and subsequent collision with our client was the provision of alcohol to her by the social host of the halloween party.
Jeff Sieben settled the claim for $550,000; the full policy limits of our client's automobile insurance policy and the homeowner's policy of the person who hosted the party.
