Snowmobile Collision By Intoxicated Driver Results in Death
Our client was driving his snowmobile on a trail in Itasca County when he was struck by another snowmobile heading the opposite direction. The driver that hit our client had been drinking at a local bar and was intoxicated at the time of the collision. His BAL was .204, over two times the legal limit, and he was arrested and prosecuted for operating a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol.
Because the alcohol the defendant consumed at the bar contributed to his intoxication and the accident, Jim Carey pursued a lawsuit against the bar. He won a settlement in the amount of $215,000 for our client's family.
