Three teens were traveling home on a dark, gravel road. The driver was going too fast and lost control of the vehicle on a curve. Due to her inexperience, she hit the gas rather than the brake. The car went off the road and hit a tree. Our client's son was killed as a result of the accident and another passenger was severely injured and was in a coma.  The driver was not seriously injured.

Cory Whalen filed a wrongful death claim for the family of the teen killed and settled for the policy limits on the driver's insurance policy as well as the underinsured motorist policy. The total settlement was $130,000.
