Auto Accident Caused By Failure To Yield At Intersection
Our client was driving near Glenwood, Minnesota when she was hit by a pick up truck in an intersection. The truck had a yield sign and did not slow or stop for her and hit her van at a high rate of speed.
She was extricated from her van by the fire department then air lifted to the hospital and underwent extensive treatment for a severe degloving injury to her left arm. The arm was torn back, exposing tendons and muscles and she had open fractures. She underwent several surgeries, grafting treatments and therapy sessions and her medical costs were almost $500,000. In addition to the serious arm injury, she also sustained lacerations to her forehead, left knee and facial trauma.
Art Kosieradzki was able to negotiate a settlement for full policy limits against the at-fault driver's insurance company as well as our client's underinsured motorist policy and settled her claim for $750,000. He also was able to negotiate the medical payback down to $45,000 for our client.
