SiebenCarey Attorneys Recognized in Annual Super Lawyers Publication
Minneapolis - Super Lawyers magazine published its annual recognition list today, which includes 18 attorneys from SiebenCarey. Just five percent of all lawyers in Minnesota are named to this list each year by Super Lawyers.
Each year, Super Lawyers rates lawyers who have attained a high-degree of professional achievement. Attorneys are selected based on a rigorous, multi-phase rating process that includes peer nominations, evaluations and third party research. The publication also recognized four attorneys from the firm to its list of Rising Stars.

Attorneys from SiebenCarey named to the 2014 Minnesota Super Lawyers list include:
William Bongard is nationally certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and state certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. Bongard earned his law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law.
Jim Carey serves as President of the law firm and is one of the top wrongful death lawyers and personal injury attorneys in the state. Carey sits on the American Board of Trial Advocates and is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by both the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Minnesota State Bar Association. He received his J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law.
John Carey is a nationally recognized personal injury attorney with extensive experience in the field of medical malpractice. Carey is recognized by his peers for his leadership in malpractice as well as alternative dispute resolution. He received his law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law.
Paul Downes is active with the Minnesota Association for Justice, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and mentors law school students. Originally from Rochester, Minn., Downes received his Juris Doctor from the William Mitchell College of Law.
Bob Hauer has served on the Minnesota Supreme Court's No-Fault Arbitration Standing Committee, as president of the Minneapolis Legal Aid Society and is an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law and the University of St. Thomas Law School. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas and his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota.
Susan M. Holden focuses on wrongful death, catastrophic injury, product liability, dram shop liability, construction site, and automobile accident insurance litigation. She served as chair of the State of Minnesota's Special Compensation Panel for survivors of the I-35W bridge collapse and is active in bar leadership within the state and nationally. Holden received her law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law.
Arthur C. Kosieradzki is a Certified Civil Trial Specialist and heads the firm's Lakeville office where he provides expertise in serious personal injury cases including automobile and motorcycle accidents. Kosieradzki received his Juris Doctor from the William Mitchell College of Law.
Jeffrey M. Montpetit is a firm shareholder who practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, product liability, premises liability and insurance litigation. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Minnesota Federal District Court and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. Montpetit received his law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law.
Mark G. Olive is known as a top workers' compensation attorney in Minnesota. He has actively lobbied against repeated attempts by the business community to reduce workers' compensation coverage. Olive received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Notre Dame.
Paul F. Schweiger serves as managing partner at the firm's Duluth office. He is a nationally recognized trial attorney and a Certified Civil Trial Specialist licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. Schweiger helps clients in medical malpractice cases and claims involving wrongful death and serious personal injuries. He earned his Juris Doctor from the William Mitchell College of Law.
Mike Scully serves as a partner at SiebenCarey, where he focuses in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury, and auto accident insurance litigation. He was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar in 1997 and is qualified as a mediator by the Minnesota Supreme Court. He graduated from Hamline University School of Law.
Harry A. Sieben is a firm founder and Civil Trial Specialist certified by both the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Minnesota State Bar Association. A native of Hastings, Minn., he received his law degree from the University of Minnesota.
Jeffrey Sieben is the third generation in a family legacy of serving Minnesotans as an attorney of law. He practices in all areas of personal injury law. He graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelor of Arts and earned his Juris Doctor from the William Mitchell College of Law.
Cory Whalen is a partner at the firm and practices in all areas of personal injury litigation. Whalen received his Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law and his Bachelor's degree from Winona State University.
