Paul K. Downes, a Rochester native, has received certification as a Minnesota State Bar Association board-certified civil trial law specialist. Fewer than 3 percent of all licensed Minnesota attorneys receive the certification.The designation is earned by Minnesota attorneys who have completed an exam in the specialty area, peer review and documented experience. Certified attorneys must demonstrate superior knowledge, skill and integrity in their specific field.

Downes, a partner of SiebenCarey law firm, helps people who have been seriously injured because of the negligence of others in truck, car collisions, industrial and construction accidents.

He's been licensed to practice law in Minnesota since 1992 and was named to the 2015 Super Lawyers list published by Super Lawyers magazine. Downes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas and earned his juris doctor from William Mitchell College of Law.
